Jk wheels on TJ

Can you put JK wheels on a TJ? I read somewhere that this is not possible?

Yes you can, you just need to alter the bolt pattern of either the Jeep or the wheel. (where there's a will, there's a way)

But no, its not a simple swap...

^ While not a direct swap due to the different bolt patterns (5X4.5 TJ, 5X5 JK), an adapter is all you need. Takes 20 minutes and a bit of red loctite- VERY simple- costs ~$100 for all 4- Mark W.

There are TJ's that came with Moab wheels, they are 16" I believe, and they have a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern. I want to say it was like '06 Rubicons, but that may not be right at all. The Moabs on JK's are 18" iirc...

Correct! 03-06 Rubicons came with Moabs that will fit any TJ w/o adapters....tossed mine on the TJ fr a bit after I took them off my 05 LJ Rubi.
