I put double sided tape (automotive type) on the back of the mount while it was locked on the gas can. Carefully lined it up where I wanted it, and stuck it on. Next, I removed the gas can and drilled my holes as the mount was exactly where I needed it to be. Then I removed the mount and the tape, waterproofed and rustproofed the holes, and bolted it on.

You should paint your water cans also with a fuel decal. Then if someone steals them all you have to do is looks for a disabled vehicle to find them.

You just gave me a great idea! I'll mount water on one side and they've got one for storage to mount on the other for some recovery gear... or this.

Very cool! I like the new paint job you did. The placement is sweet looking. Idk if I would do it just because, but definitely tailgate worthy. Thanks for posting man!

Clean pic. Think I still should go for a deeper tan to match the spice top

I like the look of the traditional Gerry can, but these cans do look good and are likely more functional.

Jeeps are personal; make yours the way you like. Take things off, put things on; do what you like and the hell with anyone else.

Lots of things could happen; has anyone actually seen a vehicle with a gas can hanging/bolted/welded/or otherwise attached onto it explode or burst in flame?

I need to see these on the inside! I'm looking at getting one or two and wasn't sure about them being inside the vehicle. I take it these are safe enough and don't leak fumes to be inside? I wonder how they mounted them to the tailgate?
