Just bought my first jeep

I went from a mini cooper to a jeep with some 33's and a decent size lift.
yeah crazy right? I've been wanting a jeep for a while so i went for it.

Anyway, I have never had a 4wd anything my whole life, yes this is my first, so I am new to pretty much everything. I dont even know what size my rims are?!, I know the tires are 33x12.50 but I would like to order some new wheels. How can i find out what will fit my tires/what size i have now.

I would also like to know if there is a way of telling what size lift I have. The dealer I bought it from had no clue, and like I said, I'm a pretty big newbie. Is there anyway to tell how high by looking or measuring. Because again i would like new shocks but I dont know how high the lift is.

Any more good info anyone else can throw at me that I should know would be appreciated, please be kind, I've been around the vw/mini forums for years and people are harsh there. I am just looking for information so I can get this thing off road and see what all this jeep hype is about.

Thanks
Ray

Welcome! The size for the rim should be on the Tire 33-12.5-15-
15 would be your rim size.
Post pics of the jeep and many on here will be able to tell you much more.
For example the rims, the type of lift, any upgrades you have and a little more about your rig! The more pics you post the more info you will get! your lift is probably 3-4.5 inches but I cannot tell you with out any pictures.
Good luck! Look forward to seeing your future posts!

welcome to the forum bud.

As for the wheel size...on your tire where is says the 33x12.50....there should be a R15 or R16 right after the 33x12.50. Exp...33x12.50r15.....the R# is your rim size in diameter.

For the suspension we can probally identify it for you if you take some pic's of the suspension/ the coils springs, control arms and so on. If you put some pic's up of those items we'll help you out.

As far as people being harsh , thats not such a big deal on this forum. Please feel free to ask any question you have.

alright finally got some photos for you guys.

another question as well, when the jeep gets to normal temp there is a high pitched whistle when i let off the gas, sounds like a teapot, could this be a vacuum issue?, it stops after about 10 mins or so. or could it be this intake?

looks like a 4'' superlift but you missing the rear lower control arms.

The whistle is most likely the aftermarket intake.

And just so you know you have the D35 rear end.
