Just bought winch

Need some help
Just bought a warn m8000 used. With zero instructions. I think I got it hooked up right that was easy. But how does it work. There's no remote just the silver lever for engaged and freespool.

Congrats on your new winch! You will need a wired remote controller to operate your winch. Go to the M8000 product page at the Warn website for all the info you need.

It sounds like you are missing the remote. It usually comes with a wired remote. You should see on top a receptacle where something can plug into, this is where the remote goes. Freespool allows you to pull the cable out quickly and hook up, then turn to engaged, then use remote to winch yourself.

Remote is curled up in front and plug is in the middle of the W on top.

You need to get the control. It is a cable that plugs into the top of the winch to control it in and out. I believe they also make a wireless, not 100% sure though.
