So, I installed my lift on my 2005 Rubicon this weekend, the setup is as follows:

2.5" OME HD Springs
Bilstein 5100 Shocks
OME Steering Stabilizer
JKS Disconnects
Iron Rock Offroad Front Double Shear Adjustable Track Bar
Iron Rock Offroad Rear Adjustable Track Bar

After installing it I was a little hesitant. I was worried that with the HD springs the ride was going to be really bumpy around town. Boy was I wrong!

I mean holy cow! I took it out for a spin today for the first time since installing the lift, and all I can say is this thing rides like butter!

The stock suspension has 70k miles on it when I removed it and to be honest it didn't ride that bad. This new lift though is even smoother and less bumpy than the stock suspension was. I mean it almost feels like a brand new rig, I am so impressed I can't even find the words to explain it.

Over bumps the lift doesn't rattle your fillings out, and even without the hard top on or any weight in the Jeep (stock front and rear bumpers too) it doesn't seem to stiff at all. In fact, I would say this is probably the PERFECT combination of not to stiff and not to soft!

I know this lift isn't for everyone, but I have no intention of real serious rock crawling, so 2.5" was all I need. It looks fantastic on my 32" Duratrac tires, and every piece of the lift was incredibly high quality.

For anyone who is considering a 2.5" lift I say go for it! I'm absolutely in love this this setup.

I'll post pictures soon!

I got it from Kolak on the Jeep Forum. He pieced together everything for me.

Originally I was just going to go with the complete 2.5" OME kit, but he was talking to me in great length about how he's run both the OME Nitrocharger shocks and the Bilstein 5100 shocks and prefers the Bilsteins over the OME shocks.

So, the lift is kind of a bunch of different things all combined, but it equates to one hell of a nice ride.

The Iron Rock Offroad track bars are wonderful as well. These things are beefy as can be, and I'm very impressed. One look at them and I said to myself, "WOW, you'd be hard pressed to break one of these things". Solid 1.25" cold rolled steel!

I had the OME lift on my 2004 TJ Rubicon, but used the OME shocks - really liked the ride. Ran 32s also, but added an Nth Degree bellyup skid, 1"BL and 1" MML - it had really good breakover as a result. 0 driveline vibes, rode and handled great.

I'm considering the 1.25" body lift and 1" MML. My only issue with that is that I think then I am going to want 33" tires, so I will probably hold off on the body lift and MML until I need new tires, then just get 33" tires and do it at the same time.

In all honesty though I'm pretty happy with my 32" tires, being as though I'm not one of those hardcore guys who needs 35" tires or more.

No, the track bar that requires the bump stops is their older track bar for 4-8 inches of lift.

The one I bought is their newer track bar for 0-8 inches of lift. This is what I was told by the guys at Iron Rock Offroad.

This is the one for 4-8" that requires the bump stops:

This is the one for 0-8" (the one that I purchased) that doesn't require the larger bump stops:

Love my OME lift -I did the HD coil springs and shocks. I have 32's on it now and could easily fit 35's on it if I wanted to but have to regear first.

Mine is my DD and since I drive about 500 miles per week I wanted a lift that would also give me a great ride. Pretty pricey but definitely worth it.

Good to hear - mine rides awesome as well and I had attributed that to the stock suspension having 175K miles on it...

Interested to hear how the front TB convo goes.

Once it was all said and done I think I spent about $1400 on everything. I did the install myself which was easy, but I also have a mechanical background in that I grew up rebuilding engines with my dad and such.

I think the hardest part about the suspension is having to use spring compressors to get out the stock springs and put in the new springs. It's my that its hard, it's just really time consuming and at times frustrating.

I have the same OME coils but the bilstein 4600's. I agree that it is a fantastic ride and I, like you, will not be rock crawling, but it is a very nice set up for adventurous afternoons with the kids through some fields and regular trails. Wife also loves it because it is not to high, but has some lift to it. Glad you like yours too!!

Sorry for the lousy pictures, but here it is with the lift on 32" Goodyear Duratracs.

I may or may not go with 33" Duratracs (still undecided), but for now I really love it!

Yeah, my plan as of now is to keep the 32" tires. Once it's time for new tires I'll likely go to a 33" and add the 1" body lift at the same time. For now though I am 100% happy. This lift truly rides like a dream! Not even remotely jarring or uncomfortable in town.
