Just Getting Started!

Hey Everyoone I'm new to this forum and to the Jeep World. Just bought my first Jeep back in December and I'm having it lifted next week.

Well anyways I'm curous about installing a SYE kit on it. When is it needed???

sye should be added at 4" or more lift.

Its recomended when going above 3" as then you will get vibes and you will need to lower the tcase skid to get rid of them (loosing clearance). You can run a 4" of lift with an inch tcase skid drop (again loosing clearance). Anything over that just gets to be way too much. btw dont forget the CV.

So 0-4" can be ran with a tcase skid drop
4+ needs a sye and cv kit.

Rear upper adjustable arms are also required with a CV style rear drive shaft.

you need to have fun and SYE and a headache, when you install the lift and find out you need an SYE. So plan on getting an SYE if its over 2-3 inches.

3 inches you may need a 1'' tcase drop anything over I recomend an sye. my 3.5'' needed an sye.

in my humble opinion a fixed yoke transfer case output should have come stock. go ahead and do the SYE and you might as well install the teralow 2-low kit while you are in there. money well spent for all of it.
