Exclamation Just Got a Rear Tow Hook... Where do I mount it???

I purchased the rear tow hook from Quadratec. It looks just like the factory rear tow hook. For the life of me, I can't figure out where to mount it.

Help!

Right there. One hole is already there you have to drill the other one. The frame has a slot underneath so you can get the nuts in.

I just mounted a receiver hitch and had to remove my rear factory hook to do it. I have a 2003 TJ Sport.

My factory hook was mounted to two "existing weldnuts" (only one of them is annotated in the image), and the hitch utilized one of them, and covered the other one. It was mounted to the underside of the frame rail.

Can it be mounted right to the rear bumper? Or will it rip the bumper off?

No you can't yes it will. Buy a recovery bumper with shackles if that's what you want to do.

Isn't the rear bumper mounted directly to the frame?

It is and thats where your hook needs to be. Are you going to go through the bumper to the frame behind it?
