Just got my TJ -- Mods Already started

Hey Guys,

I used to own a 03 Wrangler red didn't do too many mods on it but the second time around I want this thing to look feel and drive amazing.

Just picked up a 1999 TJ 6 CYL Manual 5 speed.

Having the lift kit 2.5 Rough Country.

Also looking to get the whole car plasti dipped.

Anyone every do the WHOLE JEEP?
Ive seen some people on youtube etc but nothing major.

Also the center console is locked. Reg key doesnt work. Anyone know of anything?

I know there are 1 or 2 people on here that plastidipped their whole TJ....but it won't hold up long term, so its pretty much temporary.

Hacksaw blade will take care of that lock.

A common thief could pop that open in a second.

Good for you for not being able to get it open.

There doesn't seem to be any shortage of thieves these days that might be able to help.

Congrats on the new to you Jeep. I wouldn't plasti-dip it.

Don't plastidip the whole thing. If you want that look just get it painted matte black or bed line the whole thing. An get some LED off road lights! You won't regret it

Thanks so much guys! I really like the vent switches but I am looking for more of a panel.

Bed lineing the jeep would be a sweet idea. Got any pics?

I always tell everyone to give it a month of research before doing anything. Too many people jump into mods without doing research or buying poor quality because they do not know better. Enjoy it and take some time to mod it so you do not need to redo it later.

Another Rough Country Lift. I tell ya, they have a good business over there selling bad lifts.

Zone, BDS, OME, Currie Springs, and Rancho 9000 shocks is the way to go.
