Just Got The Black Steelies On

It took some time and a little bit of money but I finally got the black steel wheels put on my jeep. Now it no longer looks like just some jeep, its actually starting to get its own personality. Check it out.

Sorry about the quality its dark here already but I wanted to post these since I just got them on.

And don't worry, your jeep doesn't needs mods to give it personality. It is yours and has your personality.

Where did you get the wheels from and for how much? I am having a hard time finding these for a reasonable price. Looks good btw.

We have a shop which is about 90 minutes away from here. So no I really don't have one near me. I have been calling around and the cheapest I am finding these for locally is $55 PLUS tax.

I got them from a guy off the Jeep Forum. I got all 5 for 150 bucks shipped. They are in great shape too. I've wanted them for awhile so look around people on the forums are great if someone has a set they want to sell I definately recommend trying to find someone in here or on Jeep Forum. You know they're good to their word since we are all Jeep people here.

Well after spending money on a soft top and these wheels it'll be a while before I do anything to expensive. I do want to lift it more so I can fit at least 33s on it. I also want to move my KCs up by my side mirrors (so I don't kill them 4wheelin) and get fog lights back down there on the bumper. I order some ends for my bumper no more floation devices soon. Here are some new pics since its daylight you can actually see it.

Here is a feeble attempt at a diagram showing what backspacing is (from my boyfriend, he used to work in a tire shop):

In a nutshell, the higher the backspacing number is, the more "underneith your Jeep" your wheels will end up. The lower the number, the further they will stick out the side. Also, the rims I just put on are 4 inch backspaced, so essentially they would look exactly like mine. And they do stick out the side quite a bit more than stock. I could now use wider fender flares.

Thanks! They are just the regular KC Daylighters that you can buy at AutoZone or Checker Auto Parts (Kragen or Shucks in some parts of the country) for $100 with new covers on them.

Jeepthis, you should look online for those wheels. I bet you can find them cheaper shipped to your house than you can get them for 58 or so bucks a piece locally.

And Steve97 you would probably want to stick with a 3.75 or so backspaced rim. Then your tires won't rub on the control arms going with 31's or higher. And if you are getting new rims, I would highly suggest going with a 15x8 so you won't have to replace your rims if you ever go with a bigger tire.

Would the .25" make that big of a difference? Reason being is that on Quadratec, they do not offer anything under 4" bs. I called them and asked them if they carried anything less and they said no. They only carry what is closest to the Jeep size. I thought this was a little stange. I am probably going to go with the 4" simply because they are about $50 cheaper for 4.
