Yep, this is why I take a picture of everything I put on my jeep before it goes on and of it on the jeep, and I keep a notebook with those pics and receipts by chronological order. I submit it to my insurance company everytime I change something major

Glad to hear everyone was ok. You can replace parts, but not people!

Oh, & I too am impressed by the job that bumper did - thinking much harder about replacing my bumpers than I was just a few minutes prior to reading this.

Yeah they ordered the wrong bumper. The correct one will be in next week so I gotta take it back next week for the bumper light bar and lights.

Haha thanks guys. They were actually given' to me from a friend at Truck-Lite. I know a few places sell them and the new LEDs. I think these retailed somethin like 280$ a light and were direct plug in to the OEM harness. I'll try to find some quick...

Yupp, here's a site sellin them. A little higher priced, but ya get the info.

Is $299 per headlights or for a set? Cause if its $300 for 2 that's the cheapest I've seen. Normally I see them for $250 for one.

Looks like per light. Item numbers ended consecutively.

So what did they find with the steering? Why was the wheel 180° off?

They just did an alignment. The steering wheel is still off.... I'm tired of these morons working on my Jeep. I'm having Erynnes dad look at it. It still feels loose.

Something had to have bent to make the steering wheel off, especially that far. It needs to be repaired, not just "adjusted". I've seen sector shafts (steering box) twist and make the wheel off that far. Then the sector shaft breaks, = no steering. Better ask if that lifetime warranty covers human loss.

Sorry, that sounded pretty harsh. The thing is, as your uncle and your friend, I want to make sure the Jeep is fixed right and it's SAFE...

No it didn't sound harsh. I agree something is still not fixed. The steering wheel is still off and its loose still. And it shouldn't have been just an alignment to fix it. Something got damaged to make the steering wheel spin 180° and still drive straight. It spun to the right cause I had a wider steering radius when turning right.

Did your front wheel/ tire hit the other car? Sounds exactly like a twisted sector shaft, but it could be other things. I wish I could come look at it.

My driver tire might have I'm not sure. There's weren't any rub marks on my tire. Just on my bumper.

yikes that repair cost 4000 dollars? seems like a lot for a fixed fender and such. I know shops cost a lot though. What else had to be replaced if you don't mind my asking. Nice to see you all walked out unharmed and no hard feelings after.

The driver fender, driver flare, new bumper, new light bar, off road lights, fixing the driver frame horn, alignment, dent on my hood, re-did the clear coat on the hood and passenger fender, new factory decals on driver side. The part of the tub where it says Wrangler 4.0 sport had a small bend so they fixed that to. It had to be put on a frame machine also. So all that in parts plus labor plus paint costs. Came to a little over $4000. I can't imagine how much it cost to fix that Cadillac.
