just ordered my lift...

Any advice for a first timer while installing? Got the Zone 3" and putting 33x12.50 Duratracs on with it. I would say I have enough mechanical experience to do this with little to no issues but you never know what could pop up.

PB Blaster daily on all fasteners for a week prior to install. Pay special attention to upper rear shock bolts.

Your local parts store will have it and Liquid Wrench does well too.

Definitely the PB Blaster. I have seen the stuff work miracles on bolts I never thought I could get off. Give all the key bolts a spray every day for a week.

Tell you what. I'm putting the exact same setup on my 04' next weekend with the only exception being that I'm doing MT Baja MTZ's. I'll let you know how it goes and if I don't get too excited, I'll snap some pics before, during and after. Oh yeah.... I've already gone through a can of PB Blaster over the past 2 weeks!!!!

We both have good wives!! Honestly, I'm still shocked that my wife gave me the OK to do this project! Hey, sometimes dads who give everything to the family deserve a little something too!!!

I am still fighting my lift install.
Make sure you have the following on hand.
3 cans of LW or PB Blaster
2 floor lifts
Breaker bar
Rent strut compressor from autozone
small pickle fork
BFH
Ratcheting metric wrenches
nice socket set-the beefier the better
dremel/cut wheel, etc.
drill bits
jack stands
I didn't get the zone quick disconnects and now I wish I did
I need a racheting strap to pull the front axel forward when rebolting to LCA

I feel for you brother. If you were up here in New England, I'd drive over and give you a hand. It'll all come together in the end!

Why 2 floor jacks? In my slight understanding of this adventure, I would be using the floor jacks for putting the jeep frame on the stands and to articulate the axles when putting in the new springs. Please let me know if I am missing something... I have pretty much all of the rest of the stuff.

Having the second floor jack came in handy when reconnecting the LCA and holding one end of the axle with articulating the other back. By holding I mean keeping it about 4 inches off the ground.
