Decent deal?

I've never made a purchase on Ebay, let alone my first purchase being an out of state vehicle. I've been looking around for a ride for a bit now and this definitely caught my eye, enough to to pull the trigger on it.

I'm from Chicago and will be flying to Florida next week to drive it back. A good 1200+ miles! haha, I'm looking forward to it, and hopefully all goes well.

1st jeep for me, any things in specific I should look over before handing over the cash?

thanks in advance...

Just don't expect 20mpg on the way home.

It's definitely a nice and clean looking Jeep though. Congrats.

Hey everyone, first post here. I also just bought a jeep off of ebay, 2005 rubicon unlimited, went to dover de. to get it. I took a trailer and towed it back with a chevy tahoe, got 10.6 mpg on the trip home . Second jeep for me, had an 86 cj-7 a few years back ( one of those i never should of sold ). Great site, lots of great info here

Good luck on the drive back to Chi-town. You're going to be exhausted, to say the least. But I'll bet it will be one hell of a trip! Enjoy! Cubs fan by chance?

Very clean good lookin Jeep.Bout the only thing I can think of to look for is check underneath around the bell houseing to make sure there is no oil leaks and pull the carpet back on driverside floor board around gas/brake pedals and check for rust.Other than that it should be a fine purchase.Welcome to this world. Oh and also welcome to EdMan hey is South point in Sioto Co.?

Maybe my calculations are off? I also used http://www.fuelcostcalculator.com/TripGasprice.aspx . I'll keep everyone posted.

Should be one exhausting trip, but hopefully it'll be worth it. Around the Chicagoland area, all vehicles are open to harsh winters with road salt and such, and I couldn't find one as clean as this.

Very nice, looks just like my old Sahara, except I didn't have the Moab wheels. Enjoy your trip! Welcome to the madness!

Dont underestimate teh rust that can be found under FL rigs. Some guys are retarded and actually drive through the sea water when they go to the beach. Make sure you check it for rust ansd check teh carpet for sand...make sure tehy cleaned it up good after the beach trips. Enjoy that drive. I used to drive the 920 miles between Daytona Beach and Louisville multiple times a year and my jeep has no Cruise control. Watch for cops in Georgia, they are like flies on $H!T. Also...watch your speed through louisville if you come this directon, Cops are on a major crackdown in the 55mph speed areas of teh city.

and if you wanna get her muddy right off, just stop in louisville, we can git'r'done.
