Keep it or lose it

I've been considering removing my white pin striping and stickers from the sides of the Jeep and just leave the "Jeep" logo.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm considering the same. My stripes are chipping and peeling and there's parts of it missing. I think it's time to go. I particularly dislike the rocker stripe. And I think I can do better than "Wrangler" on the hood edge. I'm just waiting for a name to hit me in the face then that'll go there.

There's a possibility you will have some slight 'ghosting' of the decal image where the paint under the decal hasn't faded but this is more noticeable with some colors than others.
I had some ghosting when I took the side decals of my Dark Green 97 TJ but I think I'm the only one who notices it

I actually might try losing the striping all the way up to the hood and see how it looks with just having it on the hood. If it looks odd, then ditch it!! I also would agree on getting rid of the decals and just leaving the Jeep and the Wrangler one.

I agree, I think it'd look a lot better without that pinstriping.

If its original striping, I'd just get new pin striping. If its not original, lose it.

Thanks for all of the input everyone. I was pretty sure I was going to remove the striping but just needed that extra push. I found the best way to remove it is to enlist the help of a 6 year old. Looks great and I'm really happy I took it off.

Cleaner is better, I've never understood pinstripes.

I say let nature's paintbrushes that are the hanging limbs of trees do the pinstriping for you.

Looks better. Great to get the little ones involved too. Never to early to get them in to Jeeping.

Haha that is the correct pin striping for a Wrangler. I agree it looks cleaner with the pinstripes removed.
