Keeping my 4 banger?

Im wanting a 6in long arm lift. Would i be able to keep my 4cyl? If so i would need more HP right? Where would i get this boost from. And would the boost be able to handle me putting on the extra weight of my fornt and back bumpers and a winch?

The reason for lift is to make room for bigger tires. Bigger tires take a lot more power to turn and you cannot beef up your engine enough to compensate. The only thing you can do to gain more power to the wheels is change axle gears and you need to know what size tires you're going to have so you know what gear ratio to get. 6" of lift will require more modifications than you can imagine. IMO just save your money and go with 3 or 4 inches of lift, 33 inch tires, and 4:56 gears (manual tranny).

Well when i got the jeep it already had 35's on it and it is running like a charm and has so far. I got it from a offroad style dealership (i know the owner and he is family). He dont deal with lifts much but knows what to look for when things are messing up. My buddy has a 4banger in his 6in lifted wrangler right now and all he has done is change the tranny to a more heavy duty. You beleave its just gonna take time before it wears out?
