I have the same issue... it pisses me off. I don't even have air in mine... being a yj. People need to pull ther tampons out and deal with a little heat... if there even is any with the wind. I love having the top off, makes me feel... good on the inside.

I have a piece of shit soft top that I use solely for the summer. The top is raged, the windows are brown (the rest is black), and it's in haggard condition. And the whole assembly cost me $100 so I love it. My doors stay off 24/7 rain or shine and the windows usually don't go on unless I have someone riding in the back (never happens).

Where I live AC is not much of an issue for me. I would pay someone to take it out just for more room in the engine bay. (room for OBA)

Top and door halves are off mine for the summer, have a bikini top coming next week. If rain is likely I drive my pick up and she sets at home with the Bestop trail cover on.
I worry about getting the dash/electrical wet. I have had a problem before with the inside factory wiring and I dont want to "kick a sleepin dog"
Has anyone had issues with alot of rain in the cabin? Mine has stayed dry so far.

BTW...No AC in my TJ

When it's 110+ out, I'm keeping the top on and the A/C blowing.

Mainly because it's my only vehicle right now.

when you live 3000' above sea level the weather changes about every..well 15 min on average.
so top stays on most of the time.

there is nothing wrong with rolling down the windows.

I put my soft top/door on or off at least a couple times a week. Yes I have AC, but I find it a privilege of owning a TJ and do not mind the extra time taking it up and down. That is why I got a TJ.

IT is nice and hot over here in Afghan. I keep wanting to take the top of the HMMWV but every body else says no, but no doors on it.

I pulled up next to another wrangler and he still had his hard top on, hard doors, the windows were rolled up and his AC was on!!! WTH! I was topless/door less with kids in the back! he waved/I waved but his was a little on the embarrassed side.

It's okay to put your top up and run the AC sometimes. I personally keep my top down or doors and windows out or both from spring to fall, but I you can tell the difference between people who should own a Wrangler and not.
We drive to church with the top down/door less!

I live in Florida, so I try to have my top off as much as possible, but at the same time I also like to keep my interior as clean as possible and I do not like leaving my Jeep anywhere with the top off for a significant amount of time (besides my driveway). So I always have my top on when I go to work to avoid theft and Floridas torrential down pours on my interior. I work a 12 hour shift, the last thing I want is my interior getting rained on in the parking lot for a few hours. Maybe I am crazy, but I like to take good care of my Jeep, I love it. Having my hardtop on and the A/C on is a nice relief sometimes in the middle of a Florida summer as well.

It is a Wrangler top down doors off.

Dude, unless you have spent an entire summer in Florida........ you have no idea what it means to be hot and humid.

I just got to work this morning, I have temperature and humidity readings here where I work, and its 80 degrees and 83% humidity at 7am .......and its not even actually summer yet!

I agree with everyone! What in the hell is the point of buying a Jeep if you dont take the top down? I mean, thats like the douchbags with convertible Miata's that have the top down but the windows rolled up. I really cant stand it when I see that.

When I think of Jeep, I think freedom. Freedom means do what you want as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. Had I known of this Jeep owners association that feels the need to dictate how others use and or modify their Jeeps I might not think of them in the same way...

when you run with no doors and your hardtop on do you do anything with the windows on the hardtop? I thought of doing this, but I figured it would be like a big parachute unless i left the back window up...... so I never did it.

Let me know please, I am interested in running like this too.
