My AC quit working last year and I don't even care about fixing it.
The only AC I need is when I ride with my leg out and on the step providing some coolness for the goods. A lot of times in the heat of day I keep the top up and doors and windows off. I know three people with skin cancer and it kinda scared me. I also use sunscreen now.
Just last week it poured while at work and it got drenched. When I first got the Jeep I remember freaking out if it got a little wet inside, nowadays I'm like "bring it!"

This is amazing that so many Jeepers are so offended just because another wants to drive with the top up or down or flapping in the wind. You all offer your thoughts and tell others not to worry because it is your Jeep and do what you like. If you want to drive with your white letters out, so be it. If you want a 2 inch lift instead of some 6 inch lift, so be it. If you want lockers in the front, great. But, if you want to drive around with your top on for what ever reason, you are stupid. Give us all a break since you all with your opinions don't know when or why we may or may not drive with our top down or off. I love to drive with my top down, and also up with my A/C on. There are times I don't like to sweat like a pig and have the sun beating down on my head. I also don't like having birds crap on my seats or cats piss in my Jeep when it is sitting in my driveway or in some parking lot doing nothing. Remember, it is your Jeep and do what you like. Oh and don't forget to wave at the stupid person passing you by.

Would 118-120* in the shade be a good excuse? With that being said, here is a photo of my Jeep.........no top/doors/windshield/fenders/etc.

But my tow rig has ice cold A/C for the ride home and DD duty.

I had my bikini top off and my doors off yesterday morning here in Tulsa. When I got up, went outside and saw that it was going to rain, I spent 10 minutes putting my safari top back on and full doors back on. I got to work, and my jeep sat in the heavy rain the entire time. Floorboards were soaked. I got home, removed my front carpet, bolted my seats back down, and dried out the back with a sponge and shop vac.
I deal with the elements any way I can other than putting the HT back on. I keep a tarp and bungees in the jeep with me, but didn't beat the rain to work in order to apply it. I just covered the inside with the tarp the best I could.
I notice when I see other jeeps around here with tops up and A/C blowing on a nice warm day, I question it to myself sometimes, but really, who knows the situation. Maybe the wifey wanted to drive the jeep that day and didn't want her hair to get messed up. Or, maybe the kid is sick, and driving them around in the open air may upset the condition. Who knows.
Calling people out because they don't have the top and doors off is no different that calling people out because they are still at stock height. (it's a jeep, take the top off/ it's a jeep, lift it......no difference)
By the way, does A/C work well in a wrangler? I don't think I've ever turned mine on.

One time my gf wanted to park in the front of the driveway where my jeep was and I went outside took my top down and doors off, backed out let her in, pulled back in and put my top up and doors back on.
