KJ headlights in TJ??

Yesterday I was in picking up my bumper end caps and was looking at the KJ. The new unlimited Rubicon was 37K. I just about feel over. Anyways while I was checking it out I noticed that the headlights are different then my 2000 and was wondering if anyone has tried to install a set of these lights into the TJ's. I am thinking that the pigtails are the same but not really sure as I didn't get a chance to inspect the new one that well (had to beat the sales guy off). Just thought that these might be a less expensive alternative to installing aftermarket replacement ones.

Thanks Dave

had to beat the sales guy off...... I'll leave that alone. Pretty sure your tj came with sealed beams same as my 03 did. The newer ones us full housings with bulbs. I think they are H13s but not 100 percent sure. Ther would be a fair bit of modding to get them to work in the older models. Better off going with an H4 coversion kit. Costs less than 100 bucks and takes less than 1/2 hour

Yup mine are sealed beams and if you've ever been to a dealership during daylight hours and don't want to talk to a sales person then you know that I mean.

By the way I am thinking that the H4 conversion by IPF is the way that I will be going at some point however when I saw the newer lights I thought that it might be a cheaper upgrade. I did something similar to my Super Duty headlights not to long ago and boy I wish I did it sooner. OH well live and learn right. Thanks Dave

That would be JK. The JK headlights are H4 and will fit the TJ but if you go over to the JK forums, you will see them complaining how the headlights suck. The best converson you can do are e-code h4 lenses with HID lights.

Hahahahahaha! Oh man! I actually laughed so hard I cried! Sorry man. I couldn't resist. Get an H4 conversion, much cheaper than buying any headlights from the stealership.
