Late Christmas for me!

Well I had some free time last week off from work and spent some wrench time on the Jeep. I had hoped to have had a bit more done but I at least got one large item done.

I finished painting my custom swingout tire carrier found in this thread and even found a use for my set of OEM fog lights that I had sitting in my garage.

My new custom rear bumper from Thedirtworx

Here she is...

After that I tried putting on my Xenon flares but as you can see it was snowing out and after the OEMs started giving me issues coming off I called it a day. It also has a place to mount the Hi Jack but havent mounted it yet.

Oh and on a side note I had another new toy dropped off at my house today via freight strapped to a pallet!

Very nice! I like the idea for the fogs. How did you attach them?

If you are talking about the front bumper it was on sale at 4wd.com (still on sale...Hardcore Winch Bumper with Grille Guard by Fab Fours and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware ) plus they were offering free shipping on everything on their site so I ended up getting it for $435 shipped to my door.

No the rear bumper

from dirtworx
I emailed him and he said he could make one just like yours for 420$ with 59$ shipping so about 480$ for that rear bumper. Does that sound right?

I went through ebay and it was quite awhile ago but Ill try and remember....

Base price $335
Shipping $49
D-ring tabs $38
CB antennea tab $10
Hi-lift jack 2" receiver mount $20-30ish

So by my guess it is the same ball park. Only thing that I would also request if you are having one like mine made is that he makes the Hi-jack mount section that slides into the 2" receiver a few inches longer with a few hitch pin points. The one I have is a bit short and when I mount it on the top receiver the base of the jack comes real close to the gate hinges. An extra inch or two would have been nice for more clearence.

Just make sure you ask for the 2" receiver on top as well maybe even send him a few pics from the thread posted below to refresh his memory.

That's nice; love the 3rd brake light in the hub area. I'd love to get my spare off the rear door. One of these days.

That is really sick, did you wire the fogs to your reverse lights or just another switch?
