Latest repair adventure!

My wife had the jeep and called broke down. She said it made lots of clanging then started smoking. She wisely pulled over and called AAA. A couple hours later the tow truck arrived. The driver kindly removed the hitch haul so it wouldn't get damaged. I pulled out the work lights and at first it appeared that the pressure line had broken, after further inspection I find that somehow the front diff drain hose had become wrapped around the fan and drip time belt. I had re routed it and wrapped it around the hose that leads to the power steering pump resivoir and pulled that out. Fluid was everywhere. I went yesterday morning and got a new pump. When I got home I realized I forgot to get a pulley puller, I figured that the pump was still good so I just changed the resivoir. So far so good. No leaks. I'm keeping the new pump for when the other goes out. Now on to the Clockspring.

Yeah, I have had a few "self inflicted" repairs that I am too embarrassed to even mention.

Well, one time on a buddy's YJ I managed to somehow route trailer light wires through a leaf spring shackle...didn't last long before it shorted out a fuse and my buddy got pulled over by a cop for not having any lights.
