Law enforcement... IN A RUBICON!?!?

I wouldn't believe it either... if I hadn't seen it myself.

We did The Rubicon Trail from Loon Lake to Tahoe City from 24-27 Aug... About 30 minutes in, Wes broke a front CV in his XJ and we were in the middle of the trail when they pulled up!!!!

RUBICOPS!!!!! (Police in Rubicons ON The Rubicon Trail)

Two Sheriff JK Rubicons are patrolling The Rubicon Trail regularly now!!!

Had to share this... they even offered a hand! VERY COOL!

This is awesome..I know our local Sheriff's Department has an all volunteer jeep Search and Rescue Team. They go out when someone goes missing, put on the Sheriff magnet decals and go searching. Once I get my lift on I plan on volunteering.

LOL!!! They are not 'special' officers..... They rotate with a few other teams and actually camp out for days at a time on the trail. They had a female officer with them 'learning' how to negotiate the terrain... She was doing quite well.

I was thinkin of a dream job.... FOUND IT!!!! LOL

NICE! Where do I sign up for a lateral transfer! I'd trade in my Crown Vic for a Rubi in a heartbeat!!!

Wonder if they would have a Rubi TJ leftover though!
