Leather holds up well if it's the real thing and not just a piece of vinyl with a thin skin of leather glued over it. Afterall, buckboard wagon seats, saddles, cowboy boots, etc. are made from leather and they hold up to nearly anything. Heck I wouldn't mind leather seats. My wife's car has leather seats and they are pretty darned nice.

When you have a choice, buy American.

I want to make my seats look like a saddle. Conchos and such... Most motorcycles have leather seats right?

Leather is good...if properly cared for.

Few folks know that shining shoes isnt purely for cosmetic purposes. It conditions the leather which is, after all...merely skin...flesh...which breaks down if not treated PERIODICALLY. (salt from sweat is horrible for leather.)

Shoe polish for shoes. Saddle soap for saddles. Leather conditioner for seats/furniture.

Protect it or lose it.

Not a fan of leather seats. Sure they look good and are easy to clean but they get hot as hell in the summer....and ice cold in the winter. I'm sure it would be worse in a jeep with the sun beating down on them all the time. Then there's the maintenance...yea no thanks.
