LED brakelights

Has anyone installed in-set LED brakelights on their TJ? My stock taillight assemblies are a bit battered and I think flush mounted LED's would look good. I'm curious how backup lighting should be accomplished. Side markers? What else do I need to consider?

The only thing that LED's do not have, is a back up light. Other wise they are awesome. Just hook up some low watt clear lights to your back up wires. Don't really need marker lights. You will love them, they are much brighter than stock.

you can find clear lite leds on ebay 2 of the round 4 "ones might be too big for your application. you could probably do round brake lights and 6" oval rev. lights. They only run about $30.00 each. I'm thinking of 2 oval leds for my tj, 2 red & 2 clear.

My LiteDOT LED tail lights have built in backup lights as well as side marker lights. They're awesome, see them at http://www.offroadonly.com/products/lighting/LiteDOTs/

I agree with Jerry the litedots have everything you need and from his(Jerry's) review they are a snap to hookup. They are not flush maybe and 1 inch or less out, they are easy to install. They are some$$ though. I will have them when $$ and wife permits.
