LED conversion and trimmed flares

I have recently installed some LED tail lights and side markers, then trimmed up my wide fender flares. I hate the look of flares so this is the only way I can go to be street legal. I am sick of getting pulled over for not having full tire coverage. I also trimmed up the mud flaps so those are barely legal also!

Now if MCE could release their flared flat fender I could finish my LED conversion and get CJ style lights in the grill!!

Just thought I'd show off the changes..

It is the Rampage. It works wonderfully just be careful with the zippers on cold days, that usually won't be a happy ending.

Looks awesome. Mud flaps look a little small for the jeep in general.(I was trying make that a compliment on your jeep hahah). How do the side markers on the hood work? Did you run the wires all the way down the side of the hood? Very unique! Flares look good too. Oh heck I like it all nice jeep!

I got them at a trailer supply store. I think they were 5 or 6 dollars each. They weren't hard to install, it just takes a lot of wire to run from the existing marker to the firewall, then up the hood to the new marker. I got the idea from Mr. Clifford's sick Jeep.

I'd really like to do LED taillights. Was it hard to wire them? What about fixing the blinker speed? I know there a write ups on them but while I'm here I'll ask how ya did it.

For the tail lights... well I didn't wire those. Ahhst did the wiring, he's on the forum. But I think he just wired the tails and blinkers together then grounded the light. I remember we spliced the rear side markers into the tails. I can take pictures of the wiring if you want it.

I did have to get a new flasher relay for the LED's, but I got that from Genright for like $30. I didn't feel like messing with the stocker relay.

I also had to add reverse lights, I used cheap 55W driving lights and wired those to the battery and tied into the stock reverse light wiring. I had to use a relay with the reverse lights though. First time ever messing with a relay, but I figured it out.
