Sponsors are hard to come by. You have to win competitions to get sponsored, it is what it is. But these guys are local and I probably have an in so I'll just drive down, and take them for a ride.

True. But you don't always have to win competitions to get one. When I had my YJ I got a sponsor from GenRight for a couple small parts but that's only because everything on it I bought from them and a couple of my friends have worked with Tony. Or you can do what my friend did with his SuperDuty and turn into a Sema Truck and promote their product which I would be trying to do, just to spread the word.

Have you checked out the guy who made a poison spyder build over on the Builders Corner threads?

Usually you can just use any windshield bracket for the LED's they have the same setup. I used my old ones to mount my 50 across the lower A-pillar brackets. Had to a extension of course though to make it reach.

Win and win a lot and you can get sponsored. The trouble is that there are many ppl in the same position as you so competition is fierce and in a specialized market it comes down to cost of materials vs. Profit and steel/aluminum plus labor isn't cheap, regardless of order quantity. But you'll get it, just make a name for yourself.

The ones that I've seen are a lot more than $110. And I'll wait till the higher quality lights come down.

That is true that they are ones out there more than that and I have one to prove that too. But have you looked at Black Box Logistics? They are just like Rigid and BullDog/Kc light bars in quality.

Biggest difference is that rigid uses lexan instead of tempered glass and has slightly higher lumens. That said, I will be at the black box office on Monday, apparently my company built one of their jeeps so I will be digging in further and purchasing a light bar, which I will review on here later.

They have different lenses but if that is the only thing that is different then I don't see that they wouldn't be that bad of a buy. But I know better that Rigid is the leader in LED lights and nothing will compare to them when you are trying to save money.

But on the lumen part according to Black box they have their 50 at 24k lumens and Rigid has their 50 at 19k lumens. Don't know if Black box is really that high up there though.

I, was looking at the dually comparison on lumens, but its prob different on different lights. The rigid warranty covers replacement on any damage caused by anything except damage caused by military grade ammunition, which is probably the most notable other difference. Like I said before, it looks like there is a good amount of value in black box and I will stop by Monday to speak with them.

Yeah that warranty is hard to beat... But like I said before I would never say that any LED company is superior to Rigid because nothing can ever beat them and they will always be the top LED company if you have the right money for it. That's just my opinion though others may think differently.

And let us know how the talk goes on monday, would like to hear what they have to say and hopefully they will get back to me on my email the same week.

I haven't looked at Black Box Logistics yet. I haven't asked any of the Escape drivers what type of lights they use, or where they got them. I doubt the drivers would know.

I can tell you this, they have several bars looking forward and to the side (several in each direction) and they can literally be seen from miles away (the longest runway at O'Hare is almost 3 miles long).

I have a 40" TWF and they look fairly well made. I didn't take it apart, but everything is straight, no missing parts and the cable had a good seal to the light. It's bright as heck and 1/3rd the cost of rigid.

Post #5 He compared Black Box to TWF and Black Box was cheaper. And Black Box has the same specs as Rigid just different Lenses.

Black box impressed me a lot, Trail worth fab is pretty nice too but is pretty much the same product for a tad more

There are only a few couple overseas manufacturer's - Hanma and Aroura are the two I'm are of, so any low cost US seller is probably importing one of them and re branding. My guess is they are all Hanna, because I contacted Aroura. They look very high quality, but also expensive - $875 shipped for a 50", where the Hanna are considerably less. TWF gives Pirate 4x4 discounts, I didn't have to deal with an overseas transaction and I'm sure Andy would have taken care of me if it was DOA.
