Lets see those COOLER mounts!

I think a large cooler on the back of a wrangler holding a six pack (of pepsi ) looks really good! So lets see those creative ways of mounting your cooler to the best car in the world for a trip to the beach or out to the woods! Feel free to include any other creative mods youve come up with!

I dont have any pictures yet because I am waiting for my cargo rack to come in. But Harbor Freight has them on sale for 39.99, with shipping it was under 50. I plan on cutting a plate to match the bolt pattern for the spare, then welding the tube to it and placing on JCR bumper. I saw on here or on JF that some had it one that rested on the spare and then used a rachet strap to secure it.

I put mine on the lip of the tail gate and wedge it between the tire and backseat. It's pretty solid. it's easy to run a ratchet strap around it to the roll cage too.

I have one of these and I just toss it in the back seat.

...and you call my Jeep a car again and we may have to have some words.

I love my cargo carrier but it wouldn't work on trails. Hell, last time I went out I crushed my tailpipe coming off of a log.

I bought this Harbor Freight ATV Rack for $39.99 on sale minus another 20% with the magazine coupon for about $32:

I don't have a welder, so I had to pay someone to make the upright tube after I figured out the dimensions I wanted. Total into it is about $150. Most of that was the labor charge. The main tube uses 3/16" wall steel. Here's how it looks now:

That's ok, I had a truck before this so I was mentally stuck on calling it a truck... you start using the word Jeep pretty quick though. Even my girlfriend now refers to our vehicles as "the car" and "the Jeep".

I have not done it yet but have been talking about it for a while. I was just going to weld in some scrap metal to the floor in the back to keep an ice chest from sliding front to back and left to right.

Ok, here is what I came up with. Cut out of 1/8" material on a plasma table, broke up and welded. The bottom and top section is bolted together, that way if down the road I need a bigger rack, I can just remake the top section. It just make a 3000 mile round trip from Missouri to Colorado/Utah and back. I used a 3" ratch-it strap around the tire, it would move a little front to back on the tire but maybe 1/2", I think I need to put something sticky on the bottom to grip on the tire.
