Let's See Your Tube Bumpers :)

Hey Everyone.. I am planning on building my own tube bumpers.. Would love to get some mixed ideas from all you guys and gals if I could...

If you make your own bumper I have 2 things to say. Make sure you tie it in the frame well, and be creative.

Was planning on using some heavy duty plate and using the same mount locations the stock bumpers were.. That should be good?

Yes, that'll work. I used some heavy C-channel to make a bumper while I had my other off. Thats the best stuff to use as a base. You can weld on whatever tubes you want from there.

I went with the Rampage double tube bumper with pod lights for my fogs.

Kinda heavy, but it gave me peace of mind when a deer ran in front of me once.

I know there are some Jeepers that talk smack about tube bumpers not being reliable enough, but they are! I've ran into one of those cement filled tubes on the gasoline stations before and my bumper remains flawless. Then the other day, some lady backed up into my Jeep and messed her car up...so these course of events also gave me a peace of mind.
