I'm looking at kits because if I wait to fully understand what each piece does, what stresses it will undergo, and how it exactly affects performance...I won't make any upgrades for a long time. I'm going to rely on the engineers that built the parts, and the reputation of the people putting the kits together to help me out at this point.

As I gain more knowledge, I'll customize with more discretion...or not.

Good job. Being well informed is an excellent choice to putting your lift together. The best bit of advice I was ever given that I pass on to others is know exactly where you want your jeep to end up. Then build towards it. Doing stuff over and over is very very costly. Ask me how I know :o

x2 what MrC said. I know that MY jeep isn't going bigger than 33's and the 3" suspension lift (and the BL). For what I do and for what I want, it is ideal for me.

Now customizing or putting in aftermarket parts to replace others is all fair game tho (control arms, TBs, lights, seats, etc)

When it boils down to it you can't compare apples to oranges. A JKS adjustable control arm highly outweighs a RE adjustable. Thus, the price difference. I still didn't see your mod list and specific prices on what you paid for them. If you want to nit pick then I can nit pick as well and compare as to how "complete" of a kit I think you have. You have done it for others so it is only fair.

Stop being a ---- there MR CLIFFORD. I said in my personal opinion I wasn't attacking or belittleing anyone or there lifts so stop misconstruing my words. Oh and don't forget what the guy asked for, opinions on the kits he was looking at. I gave my opinion and now you're being a little --- about it. My kits the RE- 7000 4.5 SuperFlex I also have the SYE that came with the kit and Tom Woods DS, RE mono tube shocks. I spent as previously stated in this thread $1807 plus $100 for shipping.

I was far from being a dick, as you so eloquently put it. I asked you for a simple response in reply to this thread so we could evaluate a "good deal" as you see it.

I could really care less about your personal opinion and I'm not arguing over it. I wanted to see your suspension setup for comparison basis. Now that you've posted your lift kit it will be easy to evaluate between what you believe to be a good deal and what some others offer.

I'm confused a bit though. Knowing the RE7000 kit very well I know it does not come with a SYE. Where did you get that deal?

Now if I were being a dick and a little bitch about your opinion I would tell you I think you are stupid for running RE4.5" springs on short arms. What size tire did you say you were running? 33s and 3.07s at 80?? Stupid as well. But since this isn't a thread about what I think of your suspension setup I didn't say it.

Mike and Clifford,

We can do without the name calling and direct obscenities towards each other. There's nothing wrong with disagreements, but just do it in an adult manner please.
