Lift Ideas???

Here's the deal...

Currently have a 98TJ with 31s on it. Don't ever go crawling and not much mud. Would like to give it a little lift for the look mainly. As it stands now, I can't see going over 32's...

This isn't a "this is better than that" question...

What would you do to give it a little better look?

Thanks,
Kevin

Throw up some pics of it, pics always get us inspired to spend invisible cash on upgrades

I just recently but a 2"bb on my 2001tj. I also don't do any crawling or mud but I do drive on the beach a lot. I felt I needed a little more clearance for the deep sand and I like the look of a jeep with some lift. I also put on a set of 31s. The ride still feels like the stock ride.

Here's what my plans are...

Originally I was going to increase my tire size...but with increased tire size, changing your gearing becomes an issue...plus you'll also need to purchase a new rear-bumper with a tire-carrier capable of holding a larger tire whereas if you stick with 31's or smaller, your stock one should be able to handle it.

I already have 31's on my Jeep...so this is what I have written down in order to complete my dream lift.

OME 2.5" spring lift (this is a very good lift according to everyone who owns them) - approx $789

JKS Quick Disconnects (for the sway bar) - $150

Adjustable Front Trackbar (to re-center the axle--not NECESSARY, but I'm a perfectionist like that) - Approx $150

And if you need tires... BFG A/T's will run around $750 for 5.

What would you folks suggest to run for those of us who plan to install a winch in the near future? I'm thinking of getting the OME 2.5" lift kit...or might just go with a BB. If I do the BB, do I want to use 2" all the way around or do I want to do like 2.5" in the front and 2" in the rear to help reduce the sag?

My Jeep currently has the 2" BB w/ 32's. It isn't a bad look and would be fine for light off roading. I don't think it would be enough to get 33's. From the sound of it the BB lift and maybe even a 1.25" BL would work good for you. I am pulling my BB lift off next weekend to put on a new RE 3.5" SF.
