I would buy the "DELUXE TJ/LJ WRANGLER KIT" at DPG offroad: TJ & LJ OME Kits

That´s one of the best lift kits for a TJ and you´re ready for 33" tires with it.

$1000 ain't much, especially when you factor in new tires. How tall do you want to go?

Oh yeah, welcome!

does that 1000 include new rims and tires or is it just for a lift alone?

Search around for a lift in your budget, you'll get plenty of opinions on lifts. Someone might say, "the lift I got is great", and then someone will chime in with, "Dont get that lift. I dont have that lift, but I read somewhere a while ago that the shipping took to long so c.s. sucks, and a bolt came loose so its poorly designed. I also read that the front springs settled 7mm after 4 years of hard use, and thats why I dont recommend it."

yeeeeeah, you'll know more about lifts then you care too.

Here is a question... Where do you do most of your wheelin? Does this 1k include installation or will you be doing it yourself? Tires? I am thinking about a lift as well, but I am thinking I might just do a bb(budget boost) for a bit until I get the long arm. That's just me, That one thousand is gonna go QUICK. Congrats on buying a Jeep. I am glad to see more people buying them.

I just ordered the Full Traction 3" Lift with a 1.25" Body Lift and an MML. It was recommended to me by some users here, and it only came out to about $850. Although, that is the same price as DPG's lift, and will probably give you the same amount if not maybe more lift than the FT lift, and the DPG lift comes with a hat!

I have a RE 3.5 superflex and have been very happy with it. You'll need adjustable rear control arms if you plan to put in a SYE and Non-CV driveshaft.

The RE standard kit is horribly incomplete. It's highly suggested to get new adjustable track bars for the front and rear. Rear upper adjustable control arms are also highly suggested.

The DPG deluxe is how much of a lift? I see the 1.25" body mount, but no clear info on how much of a lift the spring/coil supplies. Is there anything else at all that's needed (or even recommended) to go from stock if you use that lift?

Don't mean to threadjack rjtj. I'm pretty much in the same situation as you with a 2000 TJ.

I'd go with the superflex 3.5 RE kit with some long ome shocks but thats just my 2c. OME kits in my opinion are too expensive for the stuff and lift you get.
