We have a 1999 sport, we started with a BB (budget boost) / also known as a puck lift, and was able to put 32x11.50 BFG ATs on it, with off roading would get some tire rubbing on front end with flexing.
The last few years off hitting more aggressive trails in Moab, I have installed a front locker and just this summer upgraded to a TeraFlex 3" lift.
My plan is to go with 33X10.50 mud terrains next tire purchase, and the lift has provided clearance for this.
This photo is with 3" lift and 32x11.50 tires.
Avatar photo is with puck lift and same tires
