Lift kit for tj?

Hey so I've had my 06' tj for about 3 years now and I want to lift it up enough to clear 33's. I want to do 2.5" suspension and 1.25 body, but can't seem to find a kit I can afford that Isn't junk. Any suggestions???

What kits do you feel are junk? What is you definition of junk? That might help narrow it down.

Well after a few hours of research I consider anything rough country junk. My buddy has skyjacker hydro shocks on ho's lift and he said its sagging bad after about 1.5 years.

I don't take it offroading much because it's my daily driver, so basically I'm looking for a nice, smooth ride with the lifted look to it.

2" BB with a 1 1/4" BL with 33's...about the cheapest way to go and keep a near stock like ride.

OME is quality but it'll be a tad over budget. Zone is decent but the shocks aren't the best.

You could do a BB - BL combo. It be... 300$ more or less. and it would do everything you need it to. I'm not a fan though, you don't get any real gain in offroad performance cuz you use all stock gear but it will clear 33's with bumpstops.

BDS 2" springs, correct-length quality shocks (Bilstein 5100's are excellent), 1.25" BL and 1" MML will do it. A bit over your budget but those are nice parts. If you want a deal on a JKS 1.25" body lift and JKS MML blocks, PM me.

Are you by any chance ditching your jks in favor or the savvy UA?

Skyjakcer 2.5" with Nitros. A little rougher of a ride but a much better shock.

That is what I am guessing. Got most of my $1400 saved already. Now just to get the rest for the rear upper Adj Arms and CV Driveshaft. I will be good to go.

No, I built my own flat skid. I got a free set of Daystar replacement body mounts so I run those now. I prefer the stiffer material.

I'm with Imped on this one. Hit up BDS for their 2". You'll get coils and shocks, which will get you the lift and get you on the road. You can upgrade elsewhere from there. - $415
2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ Standard6.5" LA" lift kit 467H | BDS Suspension

Pair that with the Rough Country 1.25" BL and 1" MML (or Imped's take-offs) and you're set for about $600.
I'd rather figure out how to come up with another $600 than spend $300 on a BB and wish I went with something that actually gained me 2" of lift.

I'm probably going to go with the zone 3" kit, seeing how it's reasonably priced and gives me what I want.

I just bought the 3" zone lift from Allen at AOR and will put it on in a couple weeks. Check with him for pricing if you haven't yet.
