Lift kit + rims/tires ? Noob

My TJ is as stock as can be. I want to lift it just a tab and fit some bigger tires. What is the shortest lift kit possible ? Also, what size of tires can I fit without a lift kit ? I am looking into some rims. What size is recommended on stock height and then on a short lift ? Thanks

could you post some bigger pictures ? I have an idea on how I would like my jeep to look but I need to compare. I am not going to get into mudding that much but would like to be able to go into trails and such with it, I believe I would need a minor lift kit and some nicer, beefer tires.

Check out this thread I started a while back. I'm gonna do the same thing you are talking about eventually, I want to do some light trails and I live at the beach so am going to some beach driving so I started this thread to get some ideas. Hope it helps.

My avatar is a stock TJ with 31x10.50. You could do a 2in BB and a 1-2 BL and stuff some 33s wont have a lot of clearance for off roadin though. My 31s rub a little at full lock
