So about the shocks you really think it's worth the extra $ for the ome shocks.

I don't personally use OME shocks so I'll defer to those that do use them. I personally use Rancho 9000's and have been very happy with their performance over the years.

do you have to buy new shocks if you buy a lift kit that doesn't come with them?

thanx,

sorry this may be off track
but what size tires would be right with a 3 inch lift? 32's or 33's?
and i have rims that fit 30's right now, could they possibly fit 32's or 33's?

what size are your rims? are that the stock 7x15 wheels?

with 3" lift i would run 32s. with an additional 1" BL i would run 33s. i have 32s and 2" BB lift and 2" BL and i had to extend my bumpstops to avoid tire rubbing.

u can fit 33's with 3 inches of lift. I would do that in case u want to go bigger later on like maybe a bodylift, so u already have the 33's.

i have mixed feelings. i may go 33's next set of tires with my 3" lift but i think 32's look perfect now.

I've got a 4" Superlift (Superide not the Rockrunner).
I think I spent ~$650 or so. I can't remember. The kit comes with the 1" skidplate drop and front lower control arms and all that stuff.
I did go ahead and get the Bilstein 5100 shocks...worth every penny IMO.

I don't have a SYE. I also don't have any vibrations or any other problems.

My jeep had a 3" BL on it when I got it. I swapped it for a 1" BL rather than to go back to stock b/c the BL kit came with new hardware and it was cheap.

So combined I've got somewhere around 5" of lift. I'm running 33" BFG M/T's.

Well, its obvious that your center of gravity will change. This is one of the biggest things you'll notice.
Mine rides a bit firmer than stock, but not as rough as others I've driven/ridden in.
Compared to stock, mine doesn't dive as much in hard braking. It doesn't squat much under acceleration either. I do get the lifting/twisting sensation if I accelerate hard with the wheel turned to the left all the way.

My Jeep still feels very planted (for a Jeep) in a corner, but if I try to drive it like my old S4, I experience quite a bit of "pucker". It has its quirks, but it is still very predictable.

Well you have 5" of lift so 3" shouldn't be bad at all.I read somthing that said the wider tires make up for the taller center of gravity.

Oh ok sounds good let me know how the twin tubes ride. Did you get a CV Drive shaft or a T-Case lowering kit you're gonna need one or the other and posibly adjustable upper CA's.
