Lift question?

Hey, i own a 2005 Jeep Wrangler with a 3 inch body lift with 33 inch tires. I love the way it looks right now, but I wish it had a high ground clearence. I was wondering if I just added new coils and springs alone, will that raise my Jeep at all? If not what brand do you recommend for a nice 4" suspension lift? Oh yeah, what is the matter with stacking lifts?

coils and springs are the same thing.

you can get lift coils but the higher you go the more stuff you need. for example you can't just add 4" coils and be done with it. or even 3" coils. there is more stuff that has to be done.

you could do 2" coils and you would only need new shocks or shock extenders and maybe a tcase drop.

Please please please dump the 3"bl. It's really unsafe, and must look ridiculous.

yeah i think i want to get rid of it now. What brand do you think i should get for suspension lift? I really like skyjacker but they are kind of expensive. Are they really worth that much?

how much lift are you looking for? if your just doin a BB or 2" coils then there isn't a big difference between the kits except for the shocks.

the 3" full traction lift is nice along with the 3.5" rubicon express lift. with the 3" FT lift you may can get by without a sye (still a great idea to get one) but i wouldn't get the RE 3.5" lift without the sye. JMO.

also, i agree, definitely lose the body lift. (or goin down to a 1" would be great.)

I agree with the lifts that MrBigJeep suggested, and I'll throw TeraFlex in there. Thats what I intend to use when I get my LJ, I haven't heard anything bad about them, and I believe a few members use TeraFlex as well.

3.5 Rubicon express lift is my suggestion, you'll get about 4" out of that springs not 3.5 and u dont need an SYE for 4" of lift, mine has 4" and it has a Tcase drop, about 3/4 of an inch should eliminate the vibes
