lift question

i thought i already posted this question but i dont see it so i must have forgotten to hit the "submit" button lol...but any way...i have been saving up for a lift (im only 15 so it takes a while lol) and during the saving up process i have been looking at all the different lifts and i have heard and am aware of the saying "you get what you pay for" but the Rough Country lift i have been looking at is only $529 and i haven't heard or found anything bad about it so is this one of those situations where "you get what you pay for" because it seems to be a good lift that is complete! thanks for the help

I haven't heard anything bad about RC lifts except maybe they have a pretty stiff shock to it. But that is the case with a lot of lift manufacturers.

I don't know exactly what all comes with the 529 dollar lift from them. Maybe you could list out the parts that it shows for you and we could give you some tips on what's there and not there?

yeah, thats the only thing that i've heard too...but thats perfectly fine with me...alright, it has "Front and rear coil springs, front and rear lower control arms, solid tubular transfer case drop kit, front and rear track bar drop brackets, swaybar links, power steering pitman arm, and 4 Heckethorn Hydro 8000 series shocks" and i know it doesn't come with new extended brake lines but i only need those if i am gonna be disconnecting my sway bar (which i wont be so i dont need them)...thanks

Hi guys, I've had the RC 4" lift in my TJ since Sept. 05 and have put about 15k miles on my jeep since then, lots of highway time.
I have the Nitro 9000 shocks and yes they are stiff but off-road the system does have good flex.longer brake lines are a must if you disco the front, even with the sway bar connected it offers more flex than i thought it would. My TJ has the 4cyl and half top
and i got over 5" of lift with this kit,as a matter of fact with 33" TSL's my bumper sits 6" higher than my buds stock 04 Rubicon.
The kit is very complete and was easy to install. For the money you really can't beat it.

Hey Superman you got the leaf spring kit in yours right?

I have the RC 4' lift for my YJ. I love the damn thing. My jeep also seems to shift better once the kit was installed for some reason, it goes alot smoother. I upgraded to the 9000 Nitrogen shocks as well and i love those too. Real stiff but i like that better for offroadin. Youll be happy with the kit
