2'? or 2"? I think you meant 2" lift. I am in your same boat. I think you can get that with a 1 inch body spacer and a larger coil. Don't quote me on that but I have seen it done.

You should listen to your father and buy a new top instead.

go with a 2" BB. easy install, gives just enough room for 31's with very little rub.

Id go with a bl from a different company. Not that skyjacker completley sucks but I have heard very little about anyone running their bl's so thats gotta say somethin. Id get yourself a JKS 1.25" bl and 1" mml (they can be bought together for a little cheaper) and a 2" bb from RE like Jma said. You would be up at 3.25" of lift and you could fit some 33's if you wanted.

Few questions for you.
1. What is your over all goal buy placing a 2" lift on the jeep?
2. How will the jeep be used? daily driver? Trails, both?
3. How bad does it need a new top?
4. If it needs a new top bad, and your in a state that is going to get bad weather over the upcoming winter, than top might help more than the lift.

If I had to pick I would go with a 2" spacer lift vs. the Body lift.
Also, if on a budget, look at both craigslist and ebay for used lifts, tops etc.
