Lift ??'s / Recomendations

Lift ??'s / Recomendations

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd like to run 305/70r16's on my '01 tj. It's a 6 with 3.07 gearing and I'll be regearing to either 4.10's or 4.56's - not sure what other mods will go into axles (possibly super 30). Due to the cost of regearing, I'd like to build the suspension to my use and budget, which will likely be very little off road this year (fields or dirt roads). To start I'm planning a jks 1.25" bl and brown dog 1" mml and from there, I'd like to go with new coils -OME, Teraflex or Skyjacker. I am leaning toward OME or Skyjacker shocks. I'm planning on doing the lift's myself.

I am assuming that the mml will address any driveline issues that could result from either 2" or 3" coil spring swap. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

At what point do I need to start considering replacing the drop pitman, track bars or control arms? Both the 2.25" coil spacer kit and the Fabtech 2.5" adjustible spacer kit I looked into claim no other mods are required other than the spacers and shocks (other than possibly a t-case drop).

So, if a 2.25-2.5" spacer kit requires no other mods, and please let me know if this is wrong, can I get away with swapping my oem coil springs for 2.5 -3" coil springs without upgrading the drop pitman, track bars or control arms? I'd like to have the flexibility to pick these items up off forums as they become available but the tj is one of our dd's.

Answers, thoughts and observations appreciated.

Thanks.

if i read that right just do a 2-2.5in budget boost and leave everything else alone. that is if your not going to do any trail driving other than dirt roads
