Lift Setup - Opinions

I'm sure you guys are sick of these threads, but I'm almost done piecing together a wheel/tire/lift setup and could use some final opinions.

The wheels should be 3.75 bs on them.

The one with Rancho shocks, they have them buy 3, get 4th, but it doesn't show up in the cart right. I'm thinking the Rancho would be better than the RE setup. A little more expensive though. Plus, with the 4 Wheel Customs order, I'd be getting the tire carrier from since that's a great sale. So the prices aren't too much different. Oh, the 4WheelCustoms has buy 3 tires, get there'd realy be 5 tires for that price, not 4 as the cart shows.

Shipping is way expensive! Anyone have any experience ordering from either company? I know says it ships truck freight, so I guess I'd have to be home when it arrives....anyone know how 4 Wheel Customs ships it products?

So watcha think?

1st wheelparts is having a sale according to the web site. Buy 3 get 1 free. However, I would never have pro comp tires on my jeep. They are way over priced to begin with and you can get better tires for about the same price. For example Look into the BFG AT.

2nd Lift. spacers are spacers, find the lowest priced kit by any one. Then slap some shocks on it and be done. OR look into some of 3" coil lift that included shocks as the price will not be that much more.

Yeah, I just found the 4 wheel parts 3 Procomp get 1....seems like a lot of the sites are running that. Can't beat that even if Procomps are a bit expensive.

Has anyone ever gotten their wheels/tires from online and they're shipped already mounted and balanced? Any problems?

Neither link shows the rest of us what you want us to see.

You might want to check out these people: They have great customer service and free shipping on Rubicom Express lift kits.

And don't worry about asking questions. Everyone here went through the same thing at one time or another. It's a big investment, you want all the input you can get.

Sounds like a good starter setup Doc, but be ready if you catch the jeep thing fully you will probably want to upgrade in the future. I have been running Rancho shocks for years (usually RS5000). IMO they are a well rounded shock that is reasonably priced. Although after Reading through WF I am thinking of going with OME on my next set (to try something different).

What ever you finally decide on I hope it all goes well with your mods.
