I have 275/65/r15 on my jeep now and are pretty new. I have a credit with rough country and was looking at the 2.5 with progressive spring setup. I'm not going to switch tires until I need them. Is it ok to install the lift and use the stock tires or will it create to much of a tip hazard without fat tires
I just put a 2.25 lift on my 06 tj with 31/10.5 tires and turns are noticeably more uncomfortable at 50 mph. I did not run the lift on stock tires, but I can imagine it might be a bit more unstable.
Installing a lift in general is going to make your jeep a little less stable but I wouldn't worry about the tire size/width causing any extra instablility. There is still plenty of tread on the road.
