I am tryin to order a light bar for my 04 wrangler, I Ordered 2 pairs of Kc slimlite lights because I figured the slimmer light would allow top to be folded back easier on my soft top. I don't know which bar is best, considering the cARR rotabar or fixed, but there are no pics of it online on jeeps for me to view. Any other light bar suggestion / pics would be appreciated..
Another issue of the Carr bar is drilling holes into windsheild frame, could this lead to rust issues.. Especially being down here in moist southern Louisiana
i like that look , is it mounted high or is that how it comes from the factory, high enough to allow the lights mounted underneath, i like that look alot. Another thing of the maxi bar, it seems to have big black mounting brackets that stick out, do you have a side view of your bar
I really liked the Delta bar. It is pricey but looks awesome. I don't have the link handy but if you do a google search on delta jeep lights I am sure you can find it. It is a lower profile to the top so it doesn't look so far above the soft top. Also I think it looks like it is nicely made. (Never seen one in person).
I am going to go with KC fog lights and KC lights mounted on windshield brackets. I think the light bars might create some road noise.
Yeah well I already ordered the KC slimlite (3" depth) pairs, coming in this week, and I am going to see if I can mount them upside down as you did on that bar, all you do is mount it inverted, from the bottom side with no modification? That's a great look.
Delta bar is really nice, and considering the price of lights and bar, I dont think the delta is all that more expensive than this setup, just I question that flat look (I have never seen one in person, however)
lol...Eric...me having never had anything but front mounted fog lights I really can't say about the reflections. Do you get reflections on powder coated lights too? That might make the light bar more interesting to me verses the windshield mounted lights.
I have the carr rotobar. It does work well with the top on and off. If you go with it, just be sure not to over tighten the bolts (that allow rotation) they can be easily stripped.
B/c they do rotate, it has "fallen" forward on me to the point where I've only lit up my hood. This is due to the off-road giggling. I just have to keep tightening them every so often.
it looks better than my tubular lightbar.
how does it look from the side? is there enough room to install my Hellas under it? I donīt want lights above the bar because there are too much noises from the airstream.
Before I had 4 Hellas on top of the bar. I damaged the glass of 3 lights when I was wheeling in the woods. Thatīs why I bought 4 durable Hella working lights and installed them under the bar.
In teh next weeks I will cut the bar that it is only as high as the windshield frame.
