Dealer or just about any auto store.

You'll have to "put" the bulb into the locking base.

Sometimes they do. ...after time they like to melt into the housing pretty good.

You can buy them with the housing from a few places. I.E the dealer.

They aren't meant to be really changed in the housings. you have to Remove them from the housings and insert the new lights and bend the wires to work.

It twists out because its a neo wedge bulb. I replaced mine with blue LED's. You can still get it out if you break it though

there are lights in the AC/heater control panel?

I've been complaining that I can't see mine at night in my 98 Sport.

Are you guys serious?

Hahaha

Yea there are a few in there. You can pick up new lights from quite a few places. The type are Neowedge type B or T4 lights. Pick them up from autolumination.com if your feeling lucky, or just google them for a place to buy.

Oh and they twist out, though they don't screw out, just a half turn and they should fall out.

I did the same thing as "abw0004" and switched to all blue led lights in the dash.

Soon I will have nothing but led lights. I also switched the dome lights and footwell lights to leds, have led taillights and getting led h3 bulbs for my fog lights.

My 98 has the "slider" heater control and vent control.

Does that light up as well?

You can't just replace the bulbs you need the hole socket which the dealer has for only $7.00 each

Do a search for the thread "Interior Lighting" started by Blacktoothgrin. Covers pretty much everything on the HVAC/Dash assembly lights

I got mine from Autolumination Instrument Panel Light Bulbs & Lamps) the website is pretty hard to navigate. Check about 2/5ths down the page or search for neowedge, you need type B

2pcs T3 T4 T5 Neo Wedge Dash LED Bulbs(Blue/White) - eBay (item 200556725465 end time Dec-29-10 19:58:33 PST)

E-bay $1.50 for a pair, $3.00 will get you four (4). You'll need three (3). Order the T4 size in either clear or blue. They take a bit for delivery, since they are being sent from Hong Kong. I just installed mine tonight, and they work great. If they don't work when you install them, rotate them 180 degrees (polarity). The dealer wanted $12 EACH!!!

yep, on my 98 they do. only weird thing, my RW defrost/wiper light up on speeds 1-3 but on #4 they go out. drove me nuts till i figured out the only time they go out-figure it's got something to do with the way the speed switch is wired-not enough to worry about it.

On my '97 I usually have to turn the fan control on/off a couple of times to get the lights to come on.
