Light help needed!!

Last July I got flat fenders. I bought the poison spyder lights that are used for turn signals. I hooked them up and they worked just fine. But then I needed marker lights... So I went to Walmart and bought some led marker lights. I hooked them up and I thought everything was working great. Untill today I went to get it inspected and it turns out that my turn signal didn't work when my lights where on... (this is all up front) then tonight I went to try to work on it. And I touched a wire that wasn't hooked up to anything.. And touched it to a ground and now none of my marker lights work.. Does anybody know what could be wrong and how I could hook them up right? Thanks

Did you check the fuses? You probably blew the fuse when you grounded the loose wire. You may have the polarity reversed on the marker lights if everything worked until you connected them. With LEDs you have to watch polarity. Usually they won,t work if the polarity is wrong. You could disconnect the marker LED's see if every thing works and if so substitute the original or any incandescent lamp for a marker light and see if your good to go.

Yes the fuse blew for the market lights. But now I'm back to where I started... The front turn signal lights won't flash when the headlights are on. But they will when there off...

Sounds like your turn signal lights have a constant 12 volts to them when the headlights (and also the parking lights) are on. You'll have to figure out why. The parking and flashing wires are shorted together somehow, or the bulb is inserted incorrectly in the socket which has the contacts shorted.

Figure out where that unterminated wire goes. It obviously has 12vdc on it or it wouldn't have blown a fuse when grounded. It now is starting to sound like you may have 12 volts connected to the ground wire of the light.

But if it had a constant 12 volts to it wouldn't it be on when the lights are on. The turn signal light dosnt come on at all when the lights are on or when the marker lights are on by them selfs.

No telling from the info you have posted. My front signal lights have three wires going to them. That would be; 1 wire for the parking light element, 1 wire for the signal light element, 1 wire that's the common ground for each.

If you have the parking light feed or the signal light feed connected to the common ground wire from the light, either bulb element could work if you have the normal feed wire grounded. I suggest you disconnect everything and figure out which wires are which coming from the jeep and coming from your new light.

We need more info on how you wired up your lights. The turn signals are 3 wires. Parking, turn and ground. The side markers are 2 wire. Runnning and turn(They use the turn signal wire as a ground). Because of how the side marker lights are wired it will not work using LED's in the turn signals as they are diodes and keep the side markers from getting a ground and will eventually burn out the led's.

Here is a diagram of how the front lights are wired. They also have the wire colors too. This was pulled from a 2003 wiring manual
