Limp Mode - 98 Jeep Wrangler Standard Transmission

I need help

The Jeep has absolutely no power or torque.

Does the Manual Transmission Jeep have a LIMP mode???
I have replaced the following and just can't seem to fix the issue:
  1. ECU (twice)
  2. O2 Sensor
  3. TPS
  4. Temp Sensor
  5. MAP Sensor
  6. Coil
  7. Plugs (AutoLite AP985) used to be Bosch
  8. Fuel Pump
  9. FPR
The Jeep idles perfect right @ ~750rpms, When I drive it, it appears to run OK except is has no power. If I ease onto the gas all seems normal. I can go through all the gears if I'm easy on it. Max speed is 50mph period. Doesn't matter if I'm in 4th gear or 5th gear 50's all she'll do.

If I get aggressive on the throttle it sounds like the throttle opens up and growls. Sounds like a deep open sound. The Jeep seems somewhat responsive from 1000rpms to ~2200rpms. At 2200rpms it's like the jeep hits a wall and fights to gain speed. The more I step on the gas the louder the growling gets.

I'm 99% sure I don't have a clogged CAT. Checked that during other attempts to resolve this issue.

I'm stuck, I would rather not take it to a mechanic. I'm sure I'm close in resolving the issue.

Any Ideas?? Thank You in advanced

It could be an intake tract partial obstruction. Trace the entire tract from horn to throttle body for foreign obstructions and verify you get wide open throttle at the throttle plate when the accellerater is fully depressed to rule out throttle cable issues as well.

I will certainly look into that. I don't know what could possibly have gotten in there. The filter has been replace about 6 mo ago and it looked normal other than dirty. I'll check out the rest.

Your tps might be faulty. Or needs to be reset. Try taking the negative cable off of your battery for 15 minuets. This will flash the computer.
