List some USA made bumpers

Im looking at all these mass produced bumpers(Warn,Smittybuilt etc). They just dont seem to have that tough ass look, like there made of some nice thick ass steel.Ive seen some poison spyder stuff & its pretty nice.Anyone else know of some decent, different bumpers, dont want to be like everyone else.

keep an eye out on ebay. There is a guy in mount carmel P.A that makes awsome bumpers to your specs. He pulled his add on ebay because he is way behind due to all the orders he got. i have a front and rear on order now. I live close enough to pick them up. He is only chargeing me 275 for the front and rear.

How about Rokmen? its 1/4" steel and made in USA. the only downside is you have to paint it which really isn't a big deal.

1/4" steel is excessively thick/heavy and isn't needed for any armor or bumper on the TJ. Avoid anything made of 1/4" steel, it is just a bad idea for many reasons.

If I were looking for another bumper for my TJ, I'd go for the same thing I have now... Savvy Offroad's T-6 6061 aluminum which will hold up to anything you can throw at it. It's well proven in the rocks in Johnson Valley where wheeling doesn't get any tougher. If you go with steel, 3/16" is the heaviest/thickest you should go for.

Just avoid that Smittybilt Chinese crap, everything else shines when compared to it.

Blue torch fab (btf) is another, JCR Offroad, Ground pounder. there's alot of custom fab shops that do great work for cheaper than some of the mass produced bumpers. try going to bing.com type in custom jeep bumpers, or custom fab shops-jeep bumper then click images. to find what you like. I found a guy, that makes bumpers and he's only 25 miles from the house- I found a pic of his bumper on line and followed the link to his site.

I haven't picked min up yet. He is backed up. He does it on the side. I stopped and looked at the one is was working on. They are heavy heavy duty. I am getting mine with out the stinger on it. Looks just like smitty built with half the price tag.

Hmmm you see one without the stinger yet? How's it look I was thinking about the same. And good to hear they are heavy duty and not junk. Let me know when you get yours so I can work out a time frame. And be sure to post some pics when you get it!

Will do. It will be a while before I get mine I told him no hurry. I shot a 310 pound bear and a 61 pound coyote this years so I have a rather large taxidermy bill to pay before my bumpers

A 310 lb. bear is about right but holy smokes, a 61 lbs. is pretty darned big for a coyote isn't it? We have coyotes all over where I live, they get onto my property at times, but I don't think I've ever seen one that big.

Been debating between these two. I like how JCR has the winch plate build in. For the price and USA quality, nice deals.

310 is on the larger side for around here. Much bigger then that is really rare but happens. The 61 pound coyote is Hugh from what the taxidermist told me. This is my first one. There aren't that many around here. And the few their are make them self hard to find. So I had to get a full body mount. It was so nice I got 200 dollars off.

You can always make your own.... or design it and have it made. I'm sure there are some folks out your way that would be able to assist....

I made mine to what I wanted... took about 20 hours of work... worth every second.

I run Cassidy's bumpers and sliders on my LJ, made to my specs. Jeremy also built a custom swing-out with hidden latch... not one rattle after 4 years...

I really like this JCR bumper.I want full length since I will be doing a lot of on roading also. Its about 400.00 all said and done.I dont think thats too bad for a tough U.S.A made bumper.
