Lizard Skin?

Just saw a few threads with this suggested but not alot of info. Was wondering if this could replace my carpet? And how much it would cost to put in? Suggestions? Pics?

My neighbor used it in his CJ and I'm not impressed. The thing you have to keep in mind is its made for sound deading and insulation....two things that no matter what you do are impossible to achieve with much success in a jeep. Try monstaliner

I plan on using their ceramic coating to keep the heat out of the floor when the carpet is out. I saw a demo at sema where they had half of a hotplate coated and they put an ice cube on each side. The side with the coating was amazing and still had a large chunk of ice when the other side was all water.

So you would insulate it with lizard skin and put carpet back in?

My carpet is already in the trash! Just a bare metal floor until I do something about it. It gets cooking hot! I plan on doing both the ceramic and the sound deadening stuff. It will make a coating roughly 0.08" thick, then I'll put herculiner over all that to make it bullet proof. The herculiner is probably way overkill and I might skip that step depending on how tough the lizard skin is.

Sounds like a good plan. When I drove out to Arizona from Louisiana in the summer my floor got killer hot through Texas and New Mexico. I was thinking maybe Lizard skin and depends how it turns out maybe the quadratec mats.
