LOL, put on 31" and now I need a 4.0

Hi all, I put on some 31" today...and the TJ will now run from 0 to 60 in ...a day and a half?

I thought I read somewhere I had 4.11 gears...but a buddy of mine with the same TJ says his has 3.73...

So now I'm confused. It's your everyday D30/D35 setup..1998 four banger TJ. I know, this has been asked probably a gazilion times..but...do I change gears? And if so, to what?

It does look good though

Manual or auto trans?

Check the metal tag on your rear pumpkin.

My 31's with 4.10's and manual isn't bad...but I let the motor rev above 4K before I shift.

You should have 4.10's with the 4cyl. Your buddy must have the 4.0

I think my 'buddy' is an idiot, which now has a 4.10 rear and a 3,73 front. (he bought his TJ with an empty front axle..never mind long story) His is a 4banger manual too.

Oh boy, how do I not want to be near him when he uses 4lo for the first time.

I'll check the tag on the rear axle, as I said I was convinced it has 4.10 like my Liberty.
