Long arms with no lift?

Right now my tj has a 6" long arm lift from skyjacker and 35s i really want to go with stock springs or 2" or 2.5 OME springs and drop the tires down to 33s and im also thinking of doing the PSC defender xc or metalcloaks or other highlines but i don't want them to look small i do plan on going back to 35s but thats when i can afford gears i do have a dana 44 rear now though. The lift and everything was done by the previous owner. Any pics of a similar set up would be appreciated.thanks!

maybe, it depends how bad the geometry is, and if the control arms will hit the frame in uptravel. i'd suggest pulling the springs, shocks, bumpstop extensions and jounce bumpers, then cycle the axle before getting to deep into buying parts.

I know I have seen 2.5 long arm lifts before? Im taking it to a jeep shop next week to get the work done. I really dont want them to take me for a ride! I personally would have never done the 6" lift. Im not to mechanically inclined to start taking stuff apart to see if it will work. I know the arms are at a pretty good angle now not parallel to the frame. I really dont have the funds to buy all new suspension.

long arms aren't created equal. geometry what it looks like sitting in your driveway isn't what i'm talking about. geometry at full bump, and what clearance issues there will be is what i'm talking about. most shops won't know how to diagnose or fix those problems correctly. you're better off learning, buying some tools, and doing the work yourself.
