Longer Shocks For More Flex

hello,

i´ve the 2.5" HD OME suspension in my TJ. for my 35s i´ve to install some 2" bumpstop extensions. that´s why i think about installing longer shocks to get some flex back.
my axles come down about 4-5" more when i "disconnect" the shocks. so i think longer shocks would be ok.

but i´ve the problem that i need shocks that look the same than my actual ones. my suspension was tested by the german government and i´m not allowed to change anything. so i need parts that they can not notice...

will the longer OME shocks for 3-5" lift be ok for me? how much more flex (axle travel) will i have? is that worth the extra money?
if the shocks are compressed, are they short enough for my 2 bumpstops? i don´t want that the shocks work like a BS.

thanks for your answers.

say you painted them black to match lol

then just spend $3 on spray paint and paint your new shocks
