Recently I went to Japan and while in a temple this thing caught my eye.
Mitsubishi emblem on the front, turbo diesel intercooled.

One of my jeep buddies who lives in Australia has one of those with the diesel. Very cool and quite valuable. Of course our "gubmint" would not allow them to be imported. (Restriction of Trade).

I have one for sale actually, let me know if you guys are interested. They are a little on the expensive side because you have to import them, but they are really great vehicles!

Rare 1987 Turbo-Diesel Jeep

And it isn't a lookalike, Mitsubishi actually purchased the rights to make the Willys Jeep back in 1953 for the military, then they kept making it for civilians up through 1998! So it's most definitely a real Jeep, with an awesome 4.77 gear ratio and 2.7 liter Turbo-Diesel.

Super nice, but why in the world would these vehicles be restricted coming in to the USA? Bet it was to keep Willis/Jeep/AMC/Chrysler dealers happy by not having to compete with them all through the years.

They aren't restricted from coming. At least not any that are 25 years or older, which the one I have for sale is, a 1987.

I'd love if you guys could help me drum up some interest in it. I'd really like to try to find a buyer sooner than later.
