Lookin for a TJ

So I've just moved to Texas over the past 6 months and currently have no vehicle, I decided I'd like to go with a jeep after endless pestering from some of my co-workers.
Right now I'd like to go with a Sport with the D44 rear and D35 front axles, I have found a jeep already built up sitting on 35x12.5x15 tires however I was wondering if it's better to build up my own jeep or risk taking someone's old toy?
If I were to buy a stock jeep(5 speed of course) with the D35/D44 I6 4.0litre whats the best way to build it up?
I also want to possibly rhino/line-x the jeep but that may be more long term.

I'll always advise someone to build it themselves. Best way to learn is hands on. Also you'll know exactly what is done to it.

Now start reading threads and hanging out with Jeep people. Don't believe everything you hear tho... :P Good luck and welcome.
